Passengers flying in and out of Pittsburgh International Airport will now be able to have a taste of local Pittsburgh eateries.
Steel Cactus just opened a satellite kiosk in the airport’s main food court, and Local Craft (part of Local Bar & Kitchen and Local Brewhouse) will be opening a location in Concourse A later this year. Michael DeSimone, of AMPD Group, which owns both brands, says that Local should be open by January.
Steel Cactus is open daily at 4:30 a.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes tacos, burritos (including breakfast burritos), and quesadillas.
Other local food options at the airport now include a Gaby et Jules kiosk in Concourse A, and a ‘Best of Pittsburgh’ kiosk in Concourse B that features products from Pittsburgh Pickles, Sarris Candies, Enrico Biscotti and Eat’n Park Smiley Cookies. The Pittsburgh Tribune Review also reports that Penn Brewery will be opening a bar and restaurant in the airport in spring 2018.
