Though Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream in Shadyside has been open for a few months, they’re just now announcing the date of their grand opening celebration.
Join them at the shop on Saturday, August 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., for an afternoon of ice cream specials, face painting, and a balloon artist.
Ice cream specials include a regular ice cream with one mix-in for $4. And, a percentage of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Beverly’s Birthdays, a local organization that helps children in need celebrate birthdays.
Sub Zero is a nitrogen ice cream franchise that uses liquid nitrogen technology to freeze and combine the ice cream, flavors, and toppings at -321° F. The ice cream is then combined with various mix-ins, including fresh fruit, cookie crumbles, candy and more.
