Tacos, pizza, and beer… a new restaurant in East Liberty is giving you everything you could want.
SYN Taqueria & Pizzeria is now open in the former Sharp Edge Beer Emporium location in Friendship, offering a unique combination of cuisines.

The restaurant (owned by Lang Restaurant Group, the same team behind Cranberry’s Pig Iron Public House) calls itself Pittsburgh’s first “build-your-own taco + personal pan pizza bar,” offering a healthy selection of toppings for creating tacos and pizzas that suit your tastes, and will eventually offer a menu of suggested creations.
Additionally, the bar at SYN boasts 35 drafts on tap, including a wide selection of local favorites from breweries like East End Brewing, Butler Brew Works, Independent Brewing, Hop Farm Brewing, Hitchhiker Brewing, Four Seasons Brewing Company and more. They also have a selection of flavored margaritas.

Currently, SYN is open for dinner Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, with the bar staying open later. Lunch service and late-night bites will be available at a later date.
