For the first time in its 162-year history, Teutonia Männerchor, the private North Side German club, will be opening its doors to the public, and hosting an open-to-all Oktoberfest.
The three-day fest will be held outdoors under a tent in the club’s parking lot on October 7, October 8 and October 9.
The fest will be held in the “traditional Münchener Style,” and will feature beers from Munich’s Hacker-Pschorr and Pittsburgh Brewing Company, and plenty of food stalls, serving German specialties like bratwurst, knockwurst, currywurst, hot pretzels, potato pancakes and more.
There will also be live music every day, including Madel Jager (October 7), Hank Haller (October 8 in the afternoon), Autobahn (October 8 in the evening) and Augsburg Brass (October 9).
Tickets are $10, and can be purchased at the door.
Hours are 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
