Thanksgiving Dinner in Pittsburgh To Go Options
Mediterra Café
Mediterra Cafe is offering everything from a whole roasted turkey (18-20 lbs. for $165), to a whole host of sides (including Stovetop-ish stuffing, Mac & Cheese, candied yams and classic mashed potatoes) for their family-style Thanksgiving takeout option this year. You can also order a selection of breads and pastries from Mediterra Bakehouse, and a quart of their house-made Bloody Mary mix. Pickup will be available at all three Mediterra locations (Lawrenceville, Mt. Lebanon, or Sewickley) on Tuesday, November 26 and Wednesday, November 27. Local Provisions
Whole turkeys (both oven-ready and fully smoked) are available from Local Provisions this Thanksgiving, along with a number of sides, including a harvest salad ($38), green bean casserole ($35), baked Mac & Cheese ($30), roasted sweet potatoes ($30), and more. They also have full desserts (like Dutch Apple Pie and Sea Salt Maple Pie from Georgie’s Corner), and flower centerpieces from Eleven Mile Farm. Orders must be received by 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, and pickup will be on Wednesday, November 27. Order online.
Butterjoint
Butterjoint in Oakland is here to help with your holiday meal. This year, they’ll have a selection of sides and homemade pies available, including cranberry sauce, Shaker corn, turkey gravy ,party potatoes, sweet potatoes with pecans, Turkey Pot pies, and desserts, including pumpkin pies, vinegar pies, apple pies, chocolate chess pies, peanut butter chess pies, cornmeal pies, cherry and pecan pies. All Thanksgiving sides and pies will be available for pickup on Wednesday, November 27. Orders are available online.
Pane è Pronto
You can order an Italian-inspired Thanksgiving Dinner for two for $74 (or for $140 for four people) from Pane è Pronto, available for pickup (with reheating instructions) on Wednesday, November 27 from noon to 6:00 p.m. The menu includes thick-sliced porchetta with gravy, Cacio e Pepe mashed potatoes, Sausage, Spinach, Apple & Pine Nut Stuffing, roast cauliflower casserole, cranberry and fennel sauce and assorted Italian cookies for dessert. Sprezzatura
Sprezzatura has everything you need for a stress-free Thanksgiving, including roasted turkey breast ($45, serves four), and an assortment of sides, like vegetable lasagna, meatballs, vegan lasagna, Calabrian cauliflower, stuffed shells, and a lot of desserts, like a Creamy Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, and a Thanksgiving cookie box. Orders can be placed online, and Thanksgiving pick-up will be on Thanksgiving morning at 616 North Highland Avenue.
Farmer x Baker
The recently-closed (for now) Farmer x Baker will be serving a Thanksgiving Dinner takeout special, featuring herb-roasted turkey, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and gravy, roasted roots and Brussel sprouts, classic stuffing, cranberry relish, and knot rolls with whipped maple butter. The special is $125 to serve two, and $250 to serve four. They’ll also have Thanksgiving sides available (Mac & Cheese and Cauliflower & Winter Greens Gratin), and pies for pickup (pumpkin and salted maple). Order online, and pickup will be on Wednesday, November 27 at The Green Heiress in Aspinwall.
Walter’s Southern Kitchen
Walter’s Thanksgiving Dinner is $280, and feeds eight to 10 people. You’ll get a choice of whole smoked or fried turkey, whole sliced brisket, or a whole pork butt, plus assorted side dishes, including Mac & Cheese, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, cornbread, house-made cranberry sauce, and gravy, plus a dessert (apple pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, Key lime pie, peach cobbler or banana pudding). The Zenith
The Zenith’s annual No Turkey Vegan Holiday Rescue Kit is back for another year. Pittsburgh’s oldest vegetarian restaurant is helping to make the holiday delicious for vegans and vegetarians by offering individual dinner portions of their Vegan Seitan, along with savory stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans Almandine, whole cranberry sauce, curry yam soup and pumpkin spice cake for $21. Each kit comes in a foil container that can be placed in the oven for 25 minutes. Ordering deadline is Wednesday, November 20, and pickup is Wednesday, November 27.
Stuntpig & Goodlander
Don’t want to cook this year? Stuntpig and Goodlander are teaming up to bring you the Thanksgiving Piggypack, featuring dinner (and drinks) for four. Each package is $149, and includes a smoked turkey breast, gravy, Hasselback sweet potatoes, melted leek & gruyere bread pudding, fresh green bean casserole, a baked apple crumble, and a 32-ounce growler with your Goodlander drink of choice. Orders can be made online, and pickup will be on Wednesday, November 27.
Floor 2
A full a la carte Thanksgiving menu is available from Floor 2 to go, with everything from an oven-roasted turkey ($129 to $215), to quarts of sides, like garlicky mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, candied sweet potatoes, fried Brussels Sprouts, Carrot Fondant, root vegetable gratin, and focaccia stuffing. Soups, salads, sauces, and a selection of Thanksgiving desserts is also available. Orders can be made online, and must be placed by Friday, November 22. Pickup will be on Thursday, November 28.
Black Radish Kitchen
Consider all of your Thanksgiving sides taken care of. Black Radish Kitchen has a full line-up of sides available for delivery or pickup. This year’s offering include ‘good’ gravy, chive butter mashed potatoes, grilled cabbage with chili, cranberry orange mess, green bean casserole, bleu cheese bread pudding stuffing, grilled carrot & pomegranate salad, onion fennel focaccia, and a big salad. The entire package is available for $350, and orders can be placed online.
Springhouse Market
Not only can you get fresh, local (uncooked) turkeys from the Springhouse Market in Washington County, but they also offer full Thanksgiving meals to go, including pans of turkey and stuffing ($150 – $275), ham, and pans of Thanksgiving casseroles and sides, including Alabama vegetable casserole, green beans, mashed potatoes, Mac & Cheese, hashbrown casserole, sweet potato pie casserole, and more. They also have a full selection of Thanksgiving baked goods, from-scratch pies, and drinks (including the best chocolate milk you’ll ever have). V&V Scratch Kitchen
V&V Scratch Kitchen is offering Thanksgiving Dinner for Two for $150. All dinners include herb roasted turkey, sliced ham, rosemary & sage sourdough stuffing, gravy, buttermilk corn casserole, mini corn bread muffins, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and much more. An additional add-on menu, featuring cookies and cinnamon rolls, is also available. Ordering information is available online. Pickup will be on Wednesday, November 27.
Eddie Merlot’s
Eddie Merlot’s is offering a Take and Bake Thanksgiving takeout option this year, perfect for groups of five to 10. Available for pickup on Wednesday, November 27 or Thursday, November 28, orders include turkey, sage stuffing, brown gravy, cranberry relish, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, vegetables, a salad, and dessert. A small serving serves five and is $225, and a large serving serves 10, and is $440. Order online.
The Cooked Goose Catering Company
You have until November 22 to order a full Thanksgiving meal from Cooked Goose Catering. The heat & serve option starts at $319.95, and serves 10, and includes a pre-cooked turkey, homemade stuffing and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans or corn, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and all heating instructions. Additional add-ons include sweet potato casserole, extra gravy, and pies. Pickup is available during Thanksgiving week at their Oakdale location. Order online.
Mad Mex
Mad Mex is giving the people what they want: Gobbleritos to go. Available to order through November 26 for pickup November 22 through November 27, the Gobblerito takeout kit features six Gobbleritos in an oven-ready tray with ample sides of gravy and cranberry sauce. Orders open on November 18.
Atria’s
Pittsburgh-area Atria’s are offering a $140 Thanksgiving to go package that serves four to five. Each pack includes a choice of soup or salad, a roast turkey or glazed ham, and four side dishes, plus gravy. An apple or pumpkin pie is also included. Orders must be placed by November 25, and more information can be found online.
Third Space Bakery
Garfield’s Third Space Bakery will be offering Thanksgiving orders of from-scratch pies, breads, and other baked goods, available for pickup on Wednesday, November 27 at their shop. Choose from Maple Pumpkin Pie, Deep-dish Apple Pie, Bourbon Pecan Pie, house loaf bread, soft dinner rolls, cranberry pepita bread, and their popular Pumpkin Loaf. Orders can be made online, and must be placed by Wednesday, November 20.
