Oktoberfest Kickoff at Penn Brewery

Oktoberfest Whiskey Release at Wigle Whiskey
Last year, Wigle Whiskey emptied over 10,000 bottles of Penn Brewery’s Oktoberfest beer into their whiskey still. What’s the result? O’Zapft is (German for ‘It’s tapped!). Tickets are $15 and include an O’Zapft is cocktail, Oktoberfest beer, O’Zapft is whiskey sample, German chocolate cake, and more. Plus, the Pittsburgh Po Boy truck will be there, too. Strip District Summer Food Truck Roundup
Eight food trucks will be rallying for the Strip District Summer Food Truck Round Up at 2623 Penn Avenue from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participating food trucks include Bull Dawgs, PGH Sandwich Society, Savoy on Wheels, Sugar and Spice Ice Cream Truck, The Rolling Kitchen, Proper Pronto Pizza, PGH Po’Boys, and Saucy Mamas. DoubleMex Bottle Release at the Brew Gentlemen
The Brew Gentlemen is finally releasing their long-awaited DoubleMex, a “Mesoamerican powerhouse.” It’s a creamy oatmeal stout with hints of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, bourbon, oak, cinnamon and vanilla. They’ll have 750mL bottles of DoubleMex available for purchase starting at 11:00 a.m., an hour before regular service starts.
