PizzaFest, BeerFest, Picklesburgh… there’s a lot to do – and a lot to eat – in Pittsburgh this weekend!

Friday, July 15

Picklesburgh

Happening Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16, Picklesburgh is coming back (and promises to be tastier than ever). Now in its second year, organizers say they have more food, more vendors, and more pickles this year. The two-day festival is happening on the Rachel Carson Bridge downtown. For more information, visit the event page.

Pittsburgh Summer Beerfest

Beer lovers, rejoice. More than 100 breweries will be featuring unlimited samples of 300+ craft beers, plus there will be live music and food trucks, too at Stage AE. The event is happening on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16, and tickets range from $45 to $65 each. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit the event website.

Saturday, July 16

BBQ Saturdays and Pear and the Pickle

New cafe and market Pear and the Pickle are hosting a series of BBQ Saturdays this summer with  on July 16, July 23 and July 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. They’ll be serving up smoked chicken ($10.95), ribs ($7.95 and $14.95) and a menu of side dishes ($4.95) with cole slaw, baked beans and potato salad. Check out their event page for more information.

Ignite + Imbibe at Pittsburgh Glass Center

Enjoy cocktails by the fire at Pittsburgh Glass Center from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening. Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka and Wigle Whiskey will be providing the cocktails as glass artists show off molten glassblowing demonstrations. Sour Cherry Weekend at Triple B Farms

For one weekend a year, Triple B Farms serves their ‘Nan’s Famous’ Sour Cherry Pie… and this is the weekend. They’re taking orders now at 724-258-3557 (and they may still have a few pails of sour cherries left, too). More info is online.

Janoski Farm’s Harvest Wine Festival

Clinton’s Janoski Farms is hosting their fourth annual summer wine festival, featuring eight Pennsylvania wineries. Tickets are $49 at the door, and include sampling from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visit their event page for more information.
