Happening Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16, Picklesburgh is coming back (and promises to be tastier than ever). Now in its second year, organizers say they have more food, more vendors, and more pickles this year. The two-day festival is happening on the Rachel Carson Bridge downtown. Pittsburgh Summer Beerfest
Beer lovers, rejoice. More than 100 breweries will be featuring unlimited samples of 300+ craft beers, plus there will be live music and food trucks, too at Stage AE. BBQ Saturdays and Pear and the Pickle
New cafe and market Pear and the Pickle are hosting a series of BBQ Saturdays this summer with on July 16, July 23 and July 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. They’ll be serving up smoked chicken ($10.95), ribs ($7.95 and $14.95) and a menu of side dishes ($4.95) with cole slaw, baked beans and potato salad. Ignite + Imbibe at Pittsburgh Glass Center
Enjoy cocktails by the fire at Pittsburgh Glass Center from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening. Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka and Wigle Whiskey will be providing the cocktails as glass artists show off molten glassblowing demonstrations. Sour Cherry Weekend at Triple B Farms
For one weekend a year, Triple B Farms serves their ‘Nan’s Famous’ Sour Cherry Pie… and this is the weekend. They’re taking orders now at 724-258-3557 (and they may still have a few pails of sour cherries left, too). More info is online.
Janoski Farm’s Harvest Wine Festival
Clinton’s Janoski Farms is hosting their fourth annual summer wine festival, featuring eight Pennsylvania wineries. Tickets are $49 at the door, and include sampling from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visit their event page for more information.
Feed More Festival at Stage AE
Cold War Kids and The Lone Bellow are headlining the Feed More Festival at Stage AE, with proceeds benefiting the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Tickets are $25 for the show. Steel City Pizzafest #2
This year’s second Steel City Pizzafest is happening at Hop Farm Brewery, with 12 pizza shops, loads of Hop Farm brews, and four live bands. Pizzafest is free to attend, with food being pay as you go. Plus, it’s kid-and-dog friendly, too. More information is available on the event page.
Polish Hill Art Festival
The free Polish Hill Arts Festival will have live music, local art, and lots of family-friendly activities – plus food from Onion Maiden, Apteka, Leena’s Food truck, Leona’s Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Driftwood Oven. It’s happening on Sunday at the Polish Hill Civic Association (3060 Brereton Street) from noon to 9:00 p.m. Find more information online.
