Vodka releases, beer fests, farm dinners and yoga brunches… carve out some time this weekend, because there’s plenty of tasty events to attend.

Friday, June 24

Trope Vodka Release Party at Wigle Whiskey

Wigle is celebrating the release of their first vodka with a 60’s-style bash at the barrel house. Tickets are $12 each, and include retro cocktails, activities, and samples from their Jell-O dish competition. Click here for more info.

Festa Junina With A Twist at Spirit

CelebrateFesta Junina – with a twist. Spirit will be hosting their take on the annual Brazilian festival with music, dancing, drinks… and pizza (it’ll have a Brazilian twist, they promise!). Need more info? Find it on their event page.

Great European Beer Fest at Sharp Edge

All weekend long (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), Sharp Edge will be hosting a beer fest, with more than 100 European beers available for sampling. Tickets range from $65 to $75 for various sessions. Click on the link to see all dates, times and info.

Saturday, June 25

Summer Wine Festival at Trax Farm

Celebrate local wine with 10 local Pennsylvania wineries and food trucks at Finleyville’s Trax Farms during their annual Summer Wine Festival. Wineries including Starr Hill Winery, Glades Pike Winery, Arrowhead Wine Cellar and more will be joining  Steel City Sandwiches, Trax Farms’ Café and Big Black Grill for a day of eating and drinking. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.

Row House Cinema Turns 2

Lawrenceville’s Row House Cinema is celebrating their second anniversary with a day of movies, brews, food and music. They’ll be serving up Southern Tier Choklat beer floats in the Bierport Store Front, and have specials and live music in the tap room. Over at the cinema house, Yummyholic will be selling birthday cupcakes and cookies, and Hambones will be parked out front with BBQ from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Plus, They’ll be playing their favorite movies all day long, from The Princess Bride to Blade Runner. Strawberry Festival at Bloomfield Market

Strawberries are in season, and Bloomfield Market is celebrating ‘em! There will also be plenty of other locally-grown produce, fresh breads, and other food vendors at the Saturday market, which runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For location and info, visit their event page.

Global BBQ at Bayardstown Social Club

Global Pittsburgh is hosting their second annual international BBQ at Bayardstown Social Club on Saturday, and it promises to take your taste buds on a global journey. With food from S&D Polish Deli, Berlin Street Food, Istanbul Sofra and PGH Halal truck – plus Stickler’s Ice Pops and beer, too, you definitely won’t go hungry. Tickets are $10 at the door, and samples are pay-as-you-go. For more information, visit their event page.

Afternoon High Tea Service at Adda Coffee House

Adda Coffee House, a new addition to the East Liberty neighborhood, hosts High Tea service on the second and fourth weekend of every month. There will be two seatings on Saturday and Sunday, one at noon and one at 2:00 p.m., and each high tea includes an assortment of pastries, tea sandwiches and snacks specially prepared by Bar Marco. Reservations are suggested.

Farmer’s Fork Dinner on the Farm at Frankferd Farms

Frankferd Farms is kicking off a series of farm dinners in Valencia, with a vegan Saturday-evening meal prepared by the chefs at Randita’s. The dinner will be served in the farm’s 125 year-old barn, and will include Wigle Whiskey cocktails, and beer and wine pairings. For tickets and information, visit their event page.

Live Music at Cioppino Restaurant & Cigar Bar

Cioppino Restaurant & Cigar Bar just announced a brand-new live music summer series in their bar lounge every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Performances will vary weekly, but will include bands such as The Terrance Vaughn Trio, Midnight Express Blues Trio, and The Lucarelli Jazz Trio.

Pittsburgh EggFest

Home chefs swear by the Big Green Egg, a grill that has massively positive reviews. If you want to try it for yourself, join the Pittsburgh EggFest at Moraine State Park in Butler County. Tickets to try a sampling of Big Egg-prepared dishes are $15 each. Find out more, and register online.

Sunday, June 26

Vine Rewind at Pittsburgh Winery

Pittsburgh Winery is shutting down the street for a big block party with live music all day, food and drinks, including Franktuary, Hooties BBQ, Pittsburgh Winery, East End Brewery, Arsenal Cider and Full Pint Brewery. Best of all? The festival is free. More information is online.

Brunch & Flow at Scratch Food & Beverage

Brunch and yoga… two of our favorite things. Scratch Food & Beverage is making it happen with a 9:00 a.m. yoga class by YogaFlow, followed by a brunch pop-up from Carota Café. The yoga class is $10 per person, and brunch is pay-as-you-go. For more information, visit their event page.

Triopli Street BakeOff & Potluck

The Tripoli Street Bake Club is hosting a bake-off competition for serious home bakers. To join, bake up your best wild yeast or sourdough treat, and bring it to the event – judging starts at 2:30 p.m. A potluck picnic will follow, and Wigle Whiskey will be on hand, giving out free samples.
