It’s the last weekend in August… time to eat (and drink!)!

Friday, August 26

Cocktail Camp at Wigle Whiskey

Stop by Wigle’s Barrelhouse to learn how to make four classic cocktails: the Old-Fashioned, martini, mojito and the Tom Collins. Each cocktail is $6, and house cocktails and draft beer will also be available for purchase, along with bites from Franktuary. Find out more information online.

Saturday, August 27

Spirit Lunch Experiment with Bread & Salt

Bread & Salt Bakery’s Rick Easton is coming back to Pittsburgh for one day only, hosting a popup lunch at Spirit from noon to 4:00 p.m. The family-friendly and vegetarian-friendly event will take place on Spirit’s patio, and there will be plenty of house-crafted cocktails, too. For more information, visit their event page.

August Food Truck Roundup at Coffee Buddha

This month’s roundup at Coffee Buddha will include PGH Taco Truck, Mission Mahi, BullDawg’s, Rolling Kitchen, Jim’s Smokin’ Que and Stickler’s Ice Pops. Trucks start serving at 11:30 a.m., and will be there until 4:00 p.m. See more information on their event page.

Sunday, August 28

Tomato & Garlic Festival at Phipps Conservatory

Celebrate local summer harvests at Phipps Conservatory’s Red, Ripe and Roasted Tomato and Garlic Festival, held on the conservatory’s front lawn and outdoor garden. Guests can enjoy cooking demonstrations, a tomato contest, children’s activities and buy fresh produce from local farms. The event is free to attend, and more information can be found online.

Beer Belly Yoga at East End Brewing

Enjoy a 45-minute yoga class in East End Brewing’s taproom, plus a free East End Brewing glass, filled with your choice of beer. Participants will also receive a free yoga class at I Am Yoga in Squirrel Hill. Tickets are $25 per person, and can be purchased online.

Endless Summer Luau at Biergarten

The Biergarten at Hotel Monaco is hosting an end-of-summer rooftop luau, with food, cocktails, beer, Polynesian dancers, fire throwers and coconut huskers. Tickets are $50 for adults, and $35 for kids 12 and under. More information, and tickets, are available online.
