Bucco Home Opener Event at Allegheny City Brewing: Celebrate the Pirate’s first home game of the season at Allegheny City Brewing on the North Side. The brewery is opening early on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so Pittsburghers can enjoy the game! There will be eight beers on tap, and the Rolling Kitchen Food Truck will be on site. Sprit Turns 2!: After the huge success of the first birthday party last year, Spirit Lounge in Lawrenceville has decided to make it a tradition. Wigle Whiskey’s 5th Anniversary Party: Also celebrating their birthday this weekend is Wigle Whiskey. To mark the five years that have passed since Wigle opened their doors, the company is throwing a major party at the distillery. There will be cake, live music, and a very special sample of their 5-year-old Monongahela Rye Whiskey Barrel #1. Tickets for this event can be purchased online.
Party in the Tropics at the Phipps Conservatory: The Party in the Tropics is back at the Phipps! This tropical dance party transform the conservatory garden to a huge dance party. EuroFest in Pittsburgh: University of Pittsburgh is hosting the family friendly “Euro Fest” this weekend in Oakland, celebrating all things European. Food Truck Roundup Under the Bridge: Steel City Avenues is starting up their monthly food truck rallies under the Homestead Grays Bridge. Slovak Wine Tasting at Sonoma Grille: It is an ode to Slovakia this weekend at Sonoma Grille as the restaurant hosts its 7th annual Slovak Wine Tasting. Guests will sample wines from Slovakia’s Limba Winery and eat delicious Slovak foods, including Huby so Slaninou (mushrooms with bacon), Halušky, Vyprážaný rezeň (pork schnitzel), and more. Bach & Brews at East End Brewing: Enjoy beer and live choir music at East End Brewing this Sunday. The brewery is hosting a fundraising event with the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh. The event will showcase live performances by the choir, as well as raffles, activities, and a special “Bach Bock” beer. Kids Easter Cookie Decorating Class: If you have a child who loves to bake, then Call Me Crazy Cookie Lady has the perfect event for you this weekend! The cookie catering company is hosting a kids Easter cookie decorating class at the Northland Library in McCandless.
