🚨Attention Oakland – you have a new neighbor!
Local Pittsburgh chain The Milk Shake Factory revealed on social media today that their Forbes Avenue location is officially open.
The company announced in December of 2018 their plans to open a fourth location in the neighborhood. According to their website, hours for the Oakland location are:
Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M.
Friday – Saturday, 11:00 A.M. – 11:00 P.M

The Milk Shake Factory began in 1914 as a small soda fountain and chocolate shop in Lawrenceville. Today, the brand has three additional shops in South Side, East Liberty, and Downtown. They are known for their handspun shakes, made with local milk from Rivendale Farms, as well as their house-made specialty chocolates.
The company is currently in the midst of a nationwide expansion.
