It’s officially Oktoberfest season in Pittsburgh! Don your lederhosen and grab your stein because we have rounded up celebrations across the city.

The Best Oktoberfest Celebrations in Pittsburgh:

“Wurst Party Ever” Atria’s Oktoberfest
September 4 – October 28
Atria’s is celebrating Oktoberfest with a special and authentic menu, running September 4th to October 28th. Additionally, every Atria’s neighborhood location is hosting a kickoff party called “The Wurst Party Ever” with stein hoisting, beer tasting, Oktoberfest sampling, and live music. More information can be found on the Atria’s facebook.

Homeless Children’s Education Fund Indoor Biergarten
September 13
This September, HCEF is turning Spirit into an indoor beer garden featuring a buffet of Spirit’s famous pizza, drinks, and live music. The mission of Homeless Children’s Education Fund (HCEF) is to advance the education of the 3,500+ children experiencing homelessness in Allegheny county and give them hope for a brighter future.

Oktoberfest at Hofbrauhaus
September 14-15, 21-22
Party in the haus! Pittsburgh’s Hofbrauhaus is hosting a celebration of Oktoberfest with live entertainment, great food, and plenty of bier. Stop by for two weekends absolutely packed with live entertainment, music, dancing, strolling, and more! The party goes until 1:30 A.M. every night!

Lorelei & The Independent Oktoberfest
September 14-29
Lorelei and The Independent Brewing Company (both owned from the team behind Hidden Harbor) are hosting a two week long Oktoberfest starting Friday, September 14th running until Saturday, September 29 . Both locations will have special german imports, as well as German-themed cuisine like pretzel bites and beer cheese, sausage sandwich, Spaetzle with Kielbasa & Sauerkraut, and Black Forest Cake from Executive Chef Jamilka.

20th Annual Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest
September 14 – 16
For the 20th year in a row, Downtown Canonsburg is transforming into a giant Oktoberfest celebration. This party has even been named one of the top ten Oktoberfest celebrations in the nation! Each year, tens of thousands of people visit this event. Celebrations will (of course) include German food, beer, and live music. The Canonsburg Oktoberfest also includes a Name the Brew contest, Carnival games, vendors, and amusement rides.

Lauri Ann West Community Center Oktoberfest
September 15
Tickets are now available for Oktoberfest at Lauri Ann West Community Center. Tickets include food, adult beverages and live music. Drinks include a “Harvest Mule” cocktail with Boyd & Blair vodka, wine, and cider. Lederhosen encouraged!

Green Tree Octoberfest
September 15-16
Green Tree is hosting a two day Oktoberfest celebration jam packed with entertainment. Enjoy fireworks, a car cruise, wagon rides, jugglers, music, dancing, and much more!  

Penn Brewery Oktoberfest
September 21-23, 28-30
It is almost time for one of Pittsburgh’s most-loved Oktoberfest celebrations. No need to travel to Germany because Penn Brewery is bringing Oktoberfest to Pittsburgh. Don your lederhosen and get ready to party. Expect tons of food, live music and an endless supply of German-inspired beer. It wouldn’t be fall in Pittsburgh without Oktoberfest at Penn Brewery.

Oktoberfest at Wigle Whiskey
September 21-23, 28-30
Wigle Whiskey is celebrating Oktoberfest with two weeks of fun at their barrelhouse on the Northside. Festivities include the release of O’Zapst , a Scotch-like spirit made with Penn Brewery Oktoberfest beer, live music, shot & a beer specials, and the popular “ Barktoberfest,” a dog friendly party supporting Camp Bow Wow and Big Bullies.

Oktoberfest Kick-Off at Bar Louie
September 22
Lederhosen & stein encouraged at Bar Louie’s Oktoberfest celebration! Enjoy food specials all day and daily drink specials until midnight including: $3.50 14oz Sam Adams and Angry Orchard drafts and half off Bavarian Flatbread or Bavarian Pretzels

Oktoberfest Weekend at Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival
September 22-23
“Willkommen”(a Hearty Welcome), as you join your Village Hosts King Henry and Queen Anne in an Oktoberfest Celebration and a Farewell to the Festival Season. Tantalize your taste buds with Traditional German Favorites such as Bratwurst and Pretzels! Oktoberfest Dinner at Cinderlands
September 24
The Cinderlands kitchen is excited to their own Oktoberfest celebration at Cinderlands. Guests will enjoy a five course meal filled with favorite German ingredients and plenty of beer lovers. Prost!

Rocktoberfest Special Olympics Party
September 27
“Rocktoberfest” is coming to Sing Sing in the Waterfront, and this year’s celebration is benefiting the Special Olympics. Live music will be provided by the Fabulous Booze Brothers and The Grkman Duo. Tickets also include a complimentary buffet, and beer on tap from eight local breweries, including: East End, Penn Brewery, Rivertowne, Roundabout Brewing, Enix Brewing, Hofbrahaus, and Rock Bottom. 100% of all proceeds will be going to The Special Olympics!

South Butler Library’s Booktoberfest
September 28
The South Butler Community Library is hosting an evening of Oktoberfest-inspired fun. Booktoberfest will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment, a silent auction and basket raffles. Proceeds benefit programming at the South Butler Community Library. Additionally, Cellar Works Brewery will be on-hand serving up delicious brews, including its limited-edition, specially brewed Booktoberfest beer.

Big Butler Fairgrounds Oktoberfest
September 28-30
Head to the Big Butler Fairgrounds for a three-day traditional German festival with authentic German food, live music, German dancers,  German and craft beer, wiener dog races, pet costume contest, a Stein Hoisting challenge, games, crafts, over 100 vendors and more!

Claddagh’s Oktoberfest Fair
September 29
Claddagh’s Oktoberfest Fair will be a classic Oktoberfest celebration with some Irish flair. Enjoy activities like stein hoisting competition, pretzel building, costume contest, live music and more. Breweries featured include Penn Brewery, Harpoon Brewery, Sam Adams and Shiner Bock.

Oktoberfest at Centre Market in Wheeling
September 29
Head to Wheeling, West Virginia, for a traditional German Oktoberfest featuring themed food, drinks, live entertainment, and Artisan vendors. General admission will be free with $2.00 wristband to purchase drinks.  For $12.00, attendees will receive a drink wristband and commemorative Oktoberfest stein that can be used at the event. Wine will also be available for purchase by the glass. Food vendors include: Baby Boys BBQ, Cheese Melt, Wheeling Brewing Co., Mmm Popcorn, Osaka, Vagabond Kitchen and more!

St. Sebastian Parish Oktoberfest
September 29
The Holy Cross Academy Gymnasium is hosting a festival will feature live music & entertainment by The Frank Palombi Orchestra. Tickets are $30 and include a buffet dinner of German food, music, open tap beer, pop and unlimited fun.

Oktoberfest at Braddock’s Inn
September 30
Braddock’s Inn in Farmington, Pennsylvania will be hosting their celebration on September 30th. Keep an eye on their Facebook events for more details.

Crane Room Brewing Co. Oktoberfest
October 6
You’re invited to The Crane Room Loft to feel the spirit of Germany’s Oktoberfest. This event is a fundraiser benefiting youth sports and our local sports facilities. Admission to the event includes a souvenir glass, 2 beers, customized Oktoberfest appetizers and dueling piano entertainment.

Octoberfest at Sienna Mercato
October 6
Sienna Mercato is teaming up with Samuel Adams Octoberfest for a Rooftop Beer Garden party. This will be a night of samplings, alpine hats, steins, and other goodies.

Oktoberfest Weekend at Seven Springs
October 6-7
A true alpine Oktoberfest experience can be had at Seven Springs! Expect beer, pretzels, and fun in the mountains. This is a perfect time to see the fall foliage in the area.

Ok-TEA BEER-fest
October 13
What happens when you brew beer with tea? The Ok-TEA-beerfest in Millvale is going to help you find out! Tupelo Honey Teas partnered with local home brewers to create a wide range of unique beers that feature tea, which will all be available for tasting. More information can be found online. 

Oktoberfest with Chop, WOK, and Talk!
October 13
It’s an Oktoberfest cooking class! Guests will enjoy a lesson in traditional German cooking. Items include: beer cheese fondue, Homemade Bavarian pretzels, Knockwurst and kraut bake with apples and rutabaga, Homemade applesauce, Individual apple strudels with ice cream. This class is BYOB.

Oktoberfest hosted by The Dickson’s
October 13
Get excited for Oktoberfest on a farm! Head to Jen’s Root & Heart Farm in Gibsonia for German fare, good beer, local music and games. More information can be found online. 

Pumpkin Fest 7
October 13
Blue Dust in Homestead is bringing Pittsburgh another pumpkin beer extravaganza. In the past, this event has featured live music, pumpkin beers, food trucks, and infused cocktails! Follow the Facebook event page for updates on Pumpkinfest.

Oktoberfest at the National Aviary
October 18
The National Aviary on the North Side is celebrating Oktoberfest in Pittsburgh with an authentic German affair. There will be live music by Mädel Jäger, and, of course, Oktoberfest and German-Style brews from Straub. Guests are also welcome to the explore The National Aviary’s bird habitats, which will be open until 9:00 pm. This event is 21+, and drinks are not included. Tickets can be purchased online.

Kids’ Octoberfest
October 20
Families in Chippewa Township are invited to a Halloween kick-off with hayrides, pumpkin decorating, prizes, petting zoo, face-painting, and more.
