Thin Man Sandwich Shop Closing Its Doors

September 1, 2017 by Emily Catalano 1 Comment

Sad news from the Strip District.

Thin Man Sandwich Shop has announced on Facebook that after almost five years in business in the Strip District, they will not be renewing their lease in October. As owners Dan and Sherri Leiphart write, that means that the sandwich shop’s last day of business will be Sunday, September 17.

From the post:

We have had an AMAZING run and recognize & appreciate how lucky we are to have been able to create and live this dream.

We will never be able to adequately thank all of the family, friends, staff and customers who have helped us make Thin Man a reality. From moral support, to picking up shifts at the shop, to buying lots of sandwiches. We will never forget all you have done for us.

We will be cranking out sandwiches & as many containers of Chicken Liver Mousse as possible right up until the end, so stop in for a last hurrah (or two).

We want to go out like this whole thing started – together, having fun, making and eating some great food.

This is a loss for all foodies who love your creative sandwiches. I only wish that they hadn’t screwed up the Rail trail in the Strip so badly; it made the jog out from town for lunch that much less fun. Please regroup and rebuild somewhere in the City..
