Pittsburgh was thrilled last year when the popular food truck Blue Sparrow announced they would be expanding their fleet… with a vintage 1956 Greyhound bus!
While the original Blue Sparrow truck is still completely operational (and can frequently be found at Commonplace Coffee MWS, Brew Gentlemen, and Dancing Gnome), Blue Sparrow’s Greyhound-turned-food-bus has been hitting the streets of Pittsburgh since November of 2018.
Both trucks serve “Global street food,” and are famous for dishes like Banh Mi, Korean BBQ Burrito, and the almighty Ramen Burger.

Starting this summer, there is good news for fans of the brand!
While hunting down food trucks typically involves a combination of social media stalking and checking brewery websites, Blue Sparrow is taking the guesswork out of finding their bus. This summer, Eleventh Hour Brewery in Lawrenceville is hosting Blue Sparrow outside their brewery four days a week.
On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, Pittsburgh will find the bus outside 11th Hour on Charlotte Street in Lawrenceville. On Saturdays, the brewery will continue to provide patrons with rotating food truck options.
With this partnership, the brewery and bus hope to start offering specialty collaborations like infusions, barrel projects, pilot brewed one-off creations, and possible dish inspired brews.
The Blue Sparrow bus will be at 11th Hour:
Wed, Thu, Fri: 5:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.
Sun: 11:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.
