Spirits & Tales, the brasserie perched atop The Oaklander Hotel in Oakland, is shifting to a take-out menu in light of the recent changes in the dining industry.
The restaurant is offering a large menu including everything from take-out dishes, prepared foods, and meal kits, to grocery items and pantry staples. Oh – and bottles of wine and bubbles are half-off.
Highlights include the kid’s meal kits (grilled cheese and pretzel twists!), whole cakes to-go, prepared soups (available in quart or pint), dry pantry staples, dairy, produce, and fresh (or frozen) protein options like burgers, salmon, shrimp, bacon, chicken, etc.
There are also “adult” meal kits, including an Avocado Toast kit, Smoked Salmon & Bagel kit, Truffle Chicken (for two), Horseradish Gnocchi (for two), and Burgers (for two).
A full menu of meals and grocery goods can be found on their Instagram page. The restaurant also has full carryout menu, available from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
For Medical Personnel: Spirits & Tales is offering 50% off all grocery and food items for their Curbside Carry Out for ALL Medical Personnel. Simply mention your place of work when you call or email your order and show your badge at your (closed) car window when you arrive. All medical and hospital workers in every position qualify for this.
They also have a “Pay it Forward” program where patrons can purchase a meal package for one person for $15. Each day the restaurant will publish how many meals are available for pick up. Just mention during your order how many extra meals you would like to order.
To complete an order, Customers can call the restaurant (412- 297-4080) or email ([email protected]), prepay over the phone, and choose their pick-up time (between noon and 8:00). All pickups will be done inside the “curbside” breezeway where the hotel’s valet station is located. Staff will meet patrons and put food into their trunk.
