Booze? Brunch? Books? It just keeps getting better and better at Threadbare Cider for their first ever Boozy Book Fair and Brunch event.
The cider house is gathering some of the nation’s best food and drink authors for a Sunday afternoon of brunch, book signings, talks, book shopping, and plenty of drinks!
Threadbare Cider and Mead is Pittsburgh’s newest cider house, located in Spring Garden. It’s under the same ownership as Wigle Whiskey, and offers some seriously delicious ciders, along with fresh-baked pizzas, too.
Tickets for the event are just $12 and include entrance to the event, author talks, and specialty drinks.
Each author talk will be paired with a drink included in the ticket. Guests will also enjoy coffee liqueur samples from Wigle Whiskey, and coffee courtesy of Steel Cup Coffee Roasters.
The author talks will happen throughout the afternoon, and will be moderated by Beth Kracklauer of the Wall Street Journal, and Anne Trubek of Belt Publishing & Belt Magazine.
Participating speakers include:
Rico Gagliano of The Dinner Party Download , and author of Brunch is Hell: How to Save the World by Throwing a Dinner Party
Noah Rothbaum of The Daily Beast, author of The Art of American Whiskey and The Business of Spirits
Kara Newman of Wine Enthusiast, and author of Road Soda: Recipes and Tips for Making Great Cocktails, Anywhere
Mark Meyer and Meredith Meyer Grelli, authors of The Whiskey Rebellion and the Rebirth of Rye
Book signings will follow each talk.Â
The event will also feature a local book fair. Local authors slated to be at the event include:
Sherrie Flick, author of Whiskey, Etc
Cody McDevitt, author of Pittsburgh Drinks
City of Asylum and Belt Publishing & Belt Magazine will also host a food and drink book pop up.
Finally, the Good Food Pittsburgh team will be on site, enjoying the talks, spreading food cheer, and documenting the event on our Instagram!
