Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Threadbare Cider & Mead is opening a tasting room in the Ross Park Mall.
Threadbare Cider House first opened on the Northside of Pittsburgh in 2017, producing wine-style alcoholic ciders and mead from regional apples, pears, berries and honey. They are known for award-winning cider varietals including Rosé Cider, Farmhouse, Bourbon Barrel Reserve, Dry, Dry Hopped, and Spiced. The Northside location also offers a sourdough pizza restaurant, open Wednesday through Sundays.
At their new Ross Park Mall Tasting Room and bottle shop, guests will have the chance to sample flights of ciders and meads, as well as shop bottles of varieties for sale.
The shop is located next door to Threadbare’s sister-brand, Wigle Whiskey, which also has a shop and bar in Ross Park Mall. Full glasses of Threadbare Cider are available at the Wigle bar.
Threadbare Ross Park will officially open on Friday, October 18. For its opening weekend, Threadbare will be offering both complimentary pours of cider and $2 off bottles of cider at its Ross Park Mall location, and its Northside Cider House.
