Don’t have plans for dinner tonight? Now you do.
This evening, Bar Marco is hosting a No-Menu Monday to benefit a much-beloved family in the Pittsburgh food community.
Walter and Amy Aguirre, the owners of the roving taco truck LA Taco, recently learned that their five-year-old son, Gabe, has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. To help fray some of the medical costs that the family has incurred, Bar Marco is teaming up with Street Foods to put together a delicious special dinner – and paired with the cocktails that the Bar Marco bartenders will be slinging all evening long, it promises to be a night of good food, good drinks, and good fun.
On tonight’s menu:
- Pumpkin Soup, with mushroom duxelle and thyme
- Kale & Arugula Salad, with pear, beets, hazelnuts, goat cheese and pomegranate vinaigrette
- Roasted Pork Loin with apples, shallots, bacon, The Brew Gentlemen’s Wheat Stout, whole-grain mustard, quinoa, butternut squash and cranberries
- Sweet Potato Pie, with spiced panna cotta and bourbon pecans
The evening starts at 5:00 and runs until 11:00 tonight, and no reservations are required.
All of the proceeds will go directly to the Aguirre family.
