DiAnoia’s Eatery chef and owner Dave Anoia will be featured on the Cooking Channel’s Best Thing I Ever Ate, taking viewers inside the all-day cafe and Italian restaurant’s kitchen.
The episode, called “The Upper Crust,” will feature DiAnoia’s gnocchi bread bowl. The popular dish contains homemade potato gnocchi, topped with DiAnoia’s meatballs, red sauce, and Pecorino Romano cheese, is served in a crispy bread bowl, then is topped with melted mozzarella and basil.
DiAnoia spoke with the Post Gazette’s Arthi Subramaniam, and said that in his segment, he’ll show how the gnocchi is made and served. Subramaniam reports that celebrity chefs, including Duff Goldman, Jason Smith, Beau MacMillan, Pati Jinich, Stuart O’Keeffe and Tregaye Fraser will also be appearing on the episode, discussing their favorite dishes that are served in a crust.
The episode airs on Monday, February 25 at 9:00 p.m. on the Cooking Channel.
