Tonight: Meet the Author of Pawpaw: In Search of America’s Forgotten Fruit

July 18, 2017 by Emily Catalano Leave a Comment

Andrew Moore, author of Pawpaw: In Search of America’s Forgotten Fruit, will be at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh tonight (Tuesday, July 18), discussing his book, and the fruit that inspired it.

The local author will be providing a brief history of the pawpaw, and share his thoughts about why the fruit has been overlooked by modern eaters. He’ll also discuss the growers and producers who are working to raise the fruit’s profile, and share ideas for ways the fruit can become a more regular part of our diet.

The discussion runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
