
Celebrate all things coffee with a full week of coffee-infused special deals and events with local roasters, cafes, and coffee specialists – all courtesy of Pittsburgh Specialty Coffee Week.
Coffee Week kicks off tonight (October 19) with an opening event and Espresso Jamboree at Commonplace Coffee’s Roastery at 147 Julius Street. Starting at 6:00 p.m., for a $5 admission fee, you can enjoy all-you-can-drink espresso, and join coffee professionals from around the region for a collaborative espresso tasting, with helpful hints and tasting notes from local baristi.

- Tuesday, October 20: Sourcing Green Coffee at Caffe D’Amore (5400 Butler Street), 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Join Sarah Walsh, owner of Caffe D’Amore, and Phil Johnson, head roaster and green buyer for Commonplace Coffee for an insight into all the steps coffee takes from seed to cup.
- Wednesday, October 21: Home Brewing Workshop at Enrico’s Tazza D’Oro (1125 N. Highland), 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Learn how to make Pour Over and Chemex coffee at home from Tazza D’Oro barristas, plus sample tartines and coffee during this free event.
- Thursday, October 22: Latte Art Throwdown at Espresso A Mano (3623 Butler Street), 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Watch some of Pittsburgh’s best latte artists compete for top honors and cash prizes as they demonstrate the fine art of creating one-of-a-kind latte showpieces.
- Friday, October 23: An Evening of Curated Espresso Beverages at Commonplace Voluto (5467 Penn Avenue), 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Commonplace Voluto and 4121 Main are collaborating on an evening of signature espresso beverages, and espresso-based specialty cocktails during this pay-as-you-go event. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks will both be available, as beverage artists use unique ingredients to create special coffee-based beverages.
- Saturday, October 24: Worst Coffee Competition, 2002 Smallman Street, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
21st Street Coffee is hosting an event to determine who can produce the least appetizing cup of coffee, from local baristas, roasters, and coffee shops.
- Sunday, October 25: Taste of KLVB at Melwood Screening Room (477 Melwood Avenue), 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
The newest addition to Pittsburgh’s roasting scene will debut their line of coffee, with flights of Central American and East African coffees, paired with Argentinian crème pastries during this free event.
Cafes and coffee shops around Pittsburgh are also offering coffee specials this week, including:
- 21st Street Coffee & Tea (Strip District) – $4 Homemade nut milk Cortado
- 21st Street Coffee & Tea (Downtown) – $5 Single espresso, single Macchiato, and sparkling tea flight
- 4121 Main – $2 Mini pumpkin spice latte
- Commonplace Coffee Squirrel Hill – Discount on select pourovers, $.50 off seasonal latte
- Commonplace Coffee Voluto – $2 Cappuccino or Cortado to stay
- Constellation Coffee – $2 Cappuccino from noon to close
- Enrico’s Tazza D’Oro Highland park – Free espresso on Monday
