On Friday, September 11, Wigle Whiskey is hosting Philadelphia chefs Steve Eckerd and Palmer Marinelli for a picnic at the distillery. The pair, representing the Keystone Foundation for Regional Food, has been visiting Pittsburgh for the week to meet with local chefs and restaurateurs to talk about the organization’s mission.

For a donation of $15, diners can enjoy a picnic spread tonight, with heirloom and artisan ingredients from local farms and purveyors. Wigle will be serving up cocktails and whiskey tastings, too.

On the menu:

  • Smoked Rettland Ham with caraway brioche and slaw
  • Field’s Edge Heirloom Baked Beans
  • Cucumber Salad with peach vinegar and sumac
  • Wigle’s Grain Berries with stone fruit
  • Roughwood Potatoes with celery seed and eggs
  • Last of the Tomato Stracciatella
  • Sweet Onion Tart with a cornmeal crus

The event runs from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
