Since the cornavirus pandemic began, Umami in Lawrenceville has been leaning into takeout and delivery, offering unique options (like their Bento Boxes), along with their regular menu.
And now, they’ve announced a brand new way to enjoy some seriously good sushi.
Umami is now offering Omakase Boxes, filled with a “dealer’s choice” (up to the chef) of 12 pieces of sushi, made to order especially for you.
Umami describes the boxes as “not your average takeout,” and filled with super fresh fish and shellfish, beautifully garnished by chefs Roger Li and Michael Taylor. While the boxes change based on what product is available, recent options have included Madai (Japanese Sea Bream), Hotate (Hokkaido Scallop), Tako (Japanese Octopus), Sawara (Spanish Mackerel), Ikura with quail egg (Salmon Roe) and Hamachi (Yellowtail Amberjack).
Each box includes fresh wasabi, ginger, and soy and is $70 each.
The Omasake Box is available for takeout and delivery via GrubHub, and also by calling the restaurant directly at 412-224-2354.
