Our friends at the Pittsburgh Canning Exchange have just posted a whole slew of upcoming events throughout the spring and summer to help you savor those special seasonal fruits and vegetables.

They’re kicking off a series of Community Canning Parties, with a focus on demonstrating canning techniques and sharing recipes.

Each class costs $20 per person, and includes a hands-on cooking and canning lesson. And, everyone will get to take home a pint of what they’ve been working on.

Here’s the full schedule:

Saturday, June 6: Rhubarb Chutney Canning Party

Saturday, June 27: Berries in Syrup Canning Party

Saturday, August 15: Dilly Beans Canning Party

Saturday, September 12: Pepper Jelly Canning Party

Each canning party will take place at Earthen Vessels Outreach. To find out more, and to purchase tickets, visit Pittsburgh Canning Exchange’s Facebook page.
