Verde (5491 Penn Avenue) is letting the tequila flow at two upcoming events.
On Saturday, April 18, they’ll be hosting a Tequila & Margarita class, an hour-long event that will give attendees an introduction to tequila (and tastes of three Tequila expressions: blanco, reposado, and anejo), along with a crash course in bartending and lessons on mixing up the perfect marg. Drinks, chips, and salsa are included in the $20 ticket price, and the event starts at 4:00 p.m.
And to celebrate Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22, Verde is teaming up with Casa Noble organic tequila for a limited seating dinner. Seats are $55 each, and include Casa Noble tequila pairings, and a four-course menu:
Gazpacho al Chile Poblano: Roasted poblano soup, morita chile oil, cornbread croutons, mango and apple
Pato Braseado: Ancho-honey glazed duck breast, spinach, radish, corn salsa, scallions and garbanzo beans
Pescado Ennegrecido: Blackened mahi-mahi, carrot-chile de arbol puree, campari tomato, bacon and broccoli rabe
Helado: Mexican vanilla ice cream, caramelized pineapple, pepita brittle and whipped cream
