Say goodbye to two Pittsburgh favorites.
Verde Mexican Kitchen & Cantina and the 31st Street Pub both shut their doors this weekend for good.
The owners of Verde announced plans earlier this month to shutter the four-year old Mexican cantina in the city’s East End. The final dinner was served on Saturday, and plans are being made to open a new concept in the same location.
And the 31st Street Pub, one of Pittsburgh longest-running dive bars (they’ve been around since 1962!) announced last weekend that after three years on the market, their property has sold.
The Pittsburgh Juice Co. is the new owner of the property, and will be expanding their business in the space later this year.
