Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart, or with friends, it’s time to make those plans now. While most restaurants are serving their regular menus on Valentine’s Day (and the preceding weekend), there are a few spots around Pittsburgh that are offering prix fix menus, special events and more.
Threadbare Cider: Threadbare Cider is hosting a ‘Wild for You’ dinner and cidery tour on Valentine’s Day. There are two ticket options, including a cider tour and dinner ($60), and dinner only ($40). Dinner will include starters, salad, handmade pasta, dessert, and a glass of their Wild Spanish-style cider.
Federal Galley:Â onlineThe North Side restaurant incubator is featuring a special dinner for two on Valentine’s Day, starting at 7:30 p.m. The dinner will include a four-course dinner, with one course from each restaurant concept, and a bottle of sparkling wine per couple. The menu includes Moroccan Spiced Coconut & Squash Soup (Michigan & Trumbull), House-made Ricotta & Egg Yolk Ravioli (Provision PGH), Surf & Turf with New York strip and Florida Sun Shrimp (Supper) and Spiced Chocolate & Vanilla Mille Feuille (El Lugar). Tickets are $170 per couple, and can be purchased .
Wigle Whiskey: Head to Wigle’s downtown Tasting Room for Valentine’s cocktail night. Build a customized Old Fashioned while enjoying a whiskey and chocolate pairing flight with Edward Marc Chocolatier for $20 per person.
Revel + Roost: Downtown’s Revel + Roost is offering a prix fixe menu for two in their upstairs dining room from Saturday, February 10 through Saturday, February 17. They’ll also have a photo booth available for couples.
Braddock’s:Â From Friday, February 9 through Wednesday, February 14, Braddock’s is offering a four-course prix fixe menu for $120 per couple. Menu options include Oysters Rockefeller, Skuna Bay Salmon, Pan-seared Filet, Roasted Butterflied Lobster Tail, Chocolate Pistachio Tartufo and Dark Chocolate Fondue.
Legends Eatery:Â Legends of the North Shore will be offering a five-course meal on Valentine’s Day, with each course paired with a beer from Grist House Craft Brewery. Seatings are at 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and the dinner is $65 per person. For more information, visit the event page.
Cinderlands:Â Lawrenceville’s new brew pub is offering a four-course beer dinner, with dishes that include Duck Heart Tartare, Lobster, Ribeye for Two, and Chocolate Moonshine chocolates, with accompanying brews. Tickets are $100 per couple, and reservations can be made online.
Acorn: Acorn in Shadyside is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special four-course prix fixe menu for $65 per person, available on February 10, February 14 and February 17. Dishes include Lobster Terrine, Rabbit Cannelloni and Calamaretti Risotto, plus they’ll be offering two signature cocktails for the night.
Lidia’s Pittsburgh: Lidia’s Pittsburgh is taking reservations for a four-course prix fixe dinner on Valentine’s Day, featuring dishes like Bocconcini di Pollo, Lasagna, Pappardelle with local mushrooms, and Tiramisu. Seats are $55 per person, with an additional $45 wine pairing option. Call 412-552-0150 for reservations.
Ten Penny:Â Enjoy a three-course specialty dinner at Ten Penny on Valentine’s Day. Reservations can be made online.
Senti:Â On February 10, 14, 16 and 17, Senti is hosting a ‘San Valentino’ dinner for $55 per person, with special dinner menu futures that include Gnocco Fritto, Ravioli Cacio e Pere, Salmon di San Valentino and Panna Cotta. Redwood Cafe:Â Redwood Cafe is hosting a Five Course Saturday Dinner on Saturday, February 10, for $60 per person. The menu includes Scallops with brown butter, and King’s Cake Bread Pudding.
Tequila Cowboy:Â On Valentine’s Day, Tequila Cowboy will be serving up a dinner for two for $40 – that includes one appetizer, two salads, two entrees, one dessert, and a bottle of Champagne.
Bierport:Â Bierport is teaming up with a519 Chocolate for a Chocolate & Beer Pairing Night. There are two sessions available, at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 per person, and include a four-beer flight and four chocolates.
Pittsburgh Winery:Â For $20 a person, enjoy a wine and chocolate pairing flight at Pittsburgh Winery, and chocolate truffles from a519 Chocolate. All of the truffles are made with Pittsburgh Winery wine infusions, too. To RSVP, call 412-566-1000.
Gaucho Parilla Argentina:Â Their Valentine’s Day event may have sold out, but a pre-Valentine’s Day dinner (on February 13) is still open. For $60 per person, enjoy four courses served family-style, starting at 6:30 p.m. BYOB with no corkage or bottle fees!
The Beer Hive: If you’re looking for something a little different to do with your sweetheart, The Beer Hive is hosting a Valentine’s Day Craft Night. Tickets are $42 per person, and include everything you need to make a piece of wall art using reclaimed wood. Plus, The Beer Hive will be offering drink specials all evening.
