The COVID-19 pandemic, along with a devastating late frost, has put a damper on this pick-our-own season for strawberries. But, there are still a few farms in and around Pittsburgh that are offering it this year.
Triple B Farms
Monongahela
Triple B Farms in Monongahela’s Pick-Your-Own Strawberry Field are now open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They’re also offering a special hour (from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.) daily for senior shoppers and customers with special needs. This year, new health and safety requirements are in place, including not bringing old baskets from previous years, six-feet social distancing measures, and no gathering after berries are picked. Baskets are available for $12.50 for prepurchase.
