
Oyster fans, rejoice!
Pittsburgh’s legendary seafood market, Wholey’s, is once again hosting Oysterfest the weekend of May 17-19, 2019, and it’s going to be quite the “shellabration.”
Everyone is invited to Wholey’s Strip District location to enjoy seasonal varieties of oysters, tasting tips, exclusive recipes and discounts.
Some of the varieties available include:
James River
Chesapeake Bay
Malpeque
Well Fleet
Savage Blondes
Connecticut Blue Points
Mad House
Duxbury selects.
(Note that options are subject to change as the date approaches due to final supply.)

Throughout the weekend, the raw bar will be stocked with oysters on the half shell. There will be daily specials, including: three for $5, or four to shuck at home for $5. The kitchen is open all weekend, serving favorites like fried oysters, oyster po’boys and more.
Additionally, on Saturday, May 18, guests are invited to attend a free oyster-themed seafood class and enjoy samples.
Hours for the festival are as follows:
Friday, May 17 -10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 18 – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 19 – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
