Tickets are now on sale for the 2017 Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse Opening bash on May 5 – celebrate with a barrel roll and maltmalt whiskey milkshakes!
This summer marks the fourth season of Wigle’s Barrelhouse, and the Wigle team plans to ring it in in style!
The event begins with the annual barrel roll from the Distillery to the Barrelhouse. For this event, local organizations construct their own contraptions to carry barrels from the Strip District to the Northside. This part of the event is free to all who RSVP.
Afterwards, the party begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Barrelhouse. As part of the celebration, Wigle will be releasing maltmalt, a collaboration whiskey from Wigle, Spoonwood Brewing Company. They will also be revealing their malting robot installation, which was built by a team of staff and students from Wigle, Carnegie Mellon Robotics and Chatham University Food Studies.
There will be live music from the Mixus Brothers, cocktails , samples of maltmalt, a celebratory wee dram to toast, a reception with local artist Jen Joyce, and even maltmalt milkshakes! Plus, popular Pittsburgh pop-up Baby Loves Tacos will vending tacos on site.
Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased online.
