Big news from Wigle Whiskey!
The Pittsburgh-based whiskey company has announced plans to open its third location in the city. And, we won’t have to wait very long for it – the new location opens on April 21.
The tasting room, bar and bottle shop will be located in downtown Pittsburgh, on Oliver Avenue between Grant Street and William Penn Way, in the Omni William Penn Hotel. According to a release, the new location will be accessible from both Oliver Avenue, and from the Omni hotel lobby.
The Wigle Whiskey Tasting Room will offer a ‘Build-Your-Own Old Fashioned’ experience, where guests can use order cards to choose their spirit of choice (whiskey, gin or rum), sugar type, bitters and garnish. They’ll also be offering a select menu of cocktails featuring Wigle products, punches, tasting flights, and (!) an absinthe drip served tableside.
Wigle is celebrating the opening with a party on Friday, April 21 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $30, and includes three spirit sampling stations, a customized Old Fashioned in the Wigle tasting room, a sample of Barrel #1 5-year Monongahela Rye and light bites. Reservations are available online.
After the official grand opening, the Wigle Tasting Room will be open on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Happy hour specials will run every Tuesday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
