Ready for St. Patrick’s Day? No? Well maybe you need a little practice…
This weekend in the South Side, Pittsburgh’s annual “St Practice Day” pub and pierogi crawl will take place along East Carson Street with 22 locations and 19 pierogi entries!
The tradition of Pittsburgh’s “St Practice Day” dates back to the 1990’s. The pre-St. Patrick’s Day event is held on the Saturday before the parade day every year, giving the city a chance to practice for the big day.
“In 2015 we added the food aspect to the event because if there is one thing I know about Pittsburgh, we love to celebrate St Pratrick’s Day and we sure do LOVE pierogies!” says Diana Rue of Diana Rua Media, who organizes the event.
