Where to Find the Best Mac & Cheese in Pittsburgh:

Industry Public House

Take a look at that beauty. While Industry’s creamy, spiraled Mac & Cheese is offered as a side for almost everything on their menu, the restaurant also serves a full-sized portion (what we recommend). The “Assembly Line Mac & Cheese” is served with extra sharp cheddar, smoked gouda, panko breadcrumbs, and chives on top of cavatappi noodles. Guests can add toppings like: grilled chicken, cajun chicken, chili, steak, ghost pepper cheese, and candied jalapenos.

This legendary, made-to-order Mac & Cheese takes around 20 minutes to bake and arrive at the table… but it’s absolutely worth every mouth-watering minute. Kelly’s Mac & Cheese is served bubbling and steaming hot from the oven. Crack through the thick layer of cheese to discover the creamy and decadent noodles below.

An entire food truck dedicated to Mac & Cheese? Yes please! The aptly-named Mac & Gold truck cruises around Pittsburgh, serving up various Mac & Cheese creations. A few of our favorites include the “Chicken Bacon” and the “Lobster Mac.” Look out for the truck at different breweries and events!

Tuesday night is bacon night at Harris Grill… which means complimentary baskets of freshly-fried bacon are flying around the restaurant. While you’re enjoying your salty snack, order some of Harris Grill’s famous Mac & Cheese. Their original mac is made with a cheddary sauce that is “not from a box.” Harris Grill also offers various upgrades, including the “Macaronis et Fromage de Langoustine,” a lobster mac, “Mom’s Hamburger Helper,” and “West-Of-Philly CheeseSteak M & C.”

Spork Pit, a new barbeque restaurant on Penn Ave in Garfield, is know for the delicious smoked meats. However, it would be a huge mistake to stop by and not indulge in their delightful sides! We are big fans of rice & beans, greens, and coleslaw, but our absolute favorite is their homemade Mac & Cheese. It perfectly compliments everything on the menu. Enjoy!

On the Burgh’ers menu, this appetizer is listed as an unassuming “Mac & Cheese with house made cheese sauce,” but take a look at the picture above to fully appreciate the decedent mac being offered at Burgh’ers! It’s also available to be substituted as a side for burgers and sandwiches for only $3.
