Today is the day!
Starting Monday, October 21, you can now find Platform Beer Co.’s second Prantl’s Bakery-inspired beer in various shops around Pittsburgh.
The Chocolate Almond Torte Stout is a sweet stout, brewed with Prantl’s almonds, chocolate, vanilla, and lactose with an 8.5% ABV. It’s a take on the chocolate version of Prantl’s famous Burnt Almond Torte cake.
This is the second collaboration between Cincinnati-based Platform Beer Co. and Prantl’s Bakery. Earlier this year, the brewery released a Burnt Almond Torte Blonde Ale.
“Torte was so well received that when the idea for a second beer came up, we knew that showcasing the chocolate version of our famous Burnt Almond Torte was the perfect idea,” says Prantl’s Bakery’s Jessica Hickey in a release.
